On the cusp of the tenth year of activity, which will be officially celebrated next spring, SNOB Milano, the Milanese brand that has been a pioneer and a leader in the magnetic clip-on segment, presents the new collection.

An increasingly mature and conscious proposal that unfolds with ease between trends and classic shapes, between warm and enveloping colours and more traditional tones, between technicalities and fine stylistic details, between bio-plastic and titanium.

A variety that meets the needs of an increasingly wide and international audience. ZEISS Sunlens sun lenses, as always, to guarantee the highest quality standards.

Our collection is now firmly positioned in the market – comments co-founder and designer Tommaso Bossetti – we can proudly say that it is widely recognised as “THE” most high-quality magnetic clip-on collection on the market and this allows us to work with peace of mind on the various segments we have built over time. Each season we offer about 300/350 items divided between the main line made of plastic, the bio lux collection made from plant-derived bio-plastic combined with beta-titanium temples and the high-end segment made from pure titanium. During the design phase, we can therefore range between different materials and processes that place no limits on our creativity.

This also allows us to satisfy the different stylistic sensibilities of each individual market – echoes Dino Sordelli, the brand’s co-founder and commercial manager. Our titanium line, for example, is being very well received in central and northern Europe, while the main line gives us excellent satisfaction in all the markets of the Mediterranean area – Tunisia, Greece, Turkey, just to name a few…

At Silmo, 7 new plastic models will debut, 3 in titanium and 2 in the bio-lux version.

The standout piece is the ODEON frame, a masculine style characterised by significant thicknesses and high and bold temples, further accentuated by colours that lend it strong personality: especially when combined with the new amber lens, which is of course also a ZEISS Sunlens, making its debut in the collection. With this design, even the classic black or tortoiseshell takes on a strong and powerful expressive charge. The same concept applies to the BIGIOIA model, which is feminine and more sinuous but always with a bold look.

The BELLA LI, LA PROF, VETRA and PLASTIC models – all of whose names are again chosen in homage to Milan and the Milan of the 80s and 90s that made history in the collective imagination – instead offer thinner and lighter profiles, meeting very different tastes and needs. Bella Li, for example, is a male frame with a very traditional design but with a very large calibre of 56 – the largest in the collection – and was deliberately introduced for a type of face that was not previously covered.

La Prof, Vetra and Plastic are three female shapes that play more with geometries and colours, perfectly combining their function of use with the desire to wear fashion accessories, perhaps to alternate between them.

Thin profiles and wide lenses also come into play in RIBOT and LAICA, which are proposed both in the plastic version and in their alter ego in Bio Lux with a bio plastic front and beta titanium temples. Introduced into the collection in 2022, Bio Lux is a new research project aimed at experimenting with new ideas – materials, treatments and colours – provided they’re eco-friendly and meet the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.

The ING., SCIANTOSA and VELOCE titanium models close the circle. Made from a single milled piece, Ing. and Sciantosa are technical, light, well-proportioned and elegant glasses offered not only in traditional colours such as gun or black, but also in more unusual versions such as aubergine or cornflower blue: colours that are always opaque, slightly iridescent, but never overlooked. Veloce, finally, is made with a traditional method, welded, with a double bridge and thick rims, a pair of glasses with a slightly vintage feel but an extremely contemporary geometric design.
