Education to Take Place March 31–April 3; Exhibit Hall to Open April 1–3

The Vision Council and RX, organizers of Vision Expo, today share details on the education program developed by the Conference Advisory Board for Vision Expo East 2022, taking place in-person from March 31 to April 3 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

The Show’s educational program, together with OptiCon®@Vision Expo, will open Thursday, March 31, and the Exhibit Hall will open Friday, April 1.

Attendees will have access to more than 230 hours of education, ranging from the latest business strategies and optical technology to patient care and cutting-edge innovations. This year’s continuing education program will also feature nine clinical tracks with more than 100 hours of clinical education delivered by the foremost experts in the field of optometry. Clinical tracks feature key content areas including glaucoma, posterior segment and macular degeneration, anterior segment, retina, anterior dry eye, surgical/co-management, systemic disease and more.

Also included in the education curriculum is the latest in surgical advances for cataracts and glaucoma as well as the latest treatments for diabetes and macular degeneration.”

OptiCon®@Vision Expo will return with an education program and Exhibit Hall experience for opticians, contact lens professionals, allied ophthalmic professionals, optical assistants and office managers, frame buyers and lab technicians. The OptiCon Hub will host networking, social events and access to representatives and resources from the American Board of Opticianry and National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO-NCLE), National Academy of Opticianry (NAO), Opticians Association of America (OAA), National Federation of Opticianry Schools (NFOS), Contact Lens Society of America (CLSA) and vendor partners.

On Thursday, March 31, March Madness returns to Vision Expo East. Panelists will compete against each other by presenting interesting cases highlighting ocular imaging technology. Also on Thursday, March 31, the Global Contact Lens Forum provides attendees with practical, timely tips in both clinical and business processes. A panel of respected, highly successful contact lens practitioners will provide personal insights gleaned from their road map to success. This will be followed by lessons learned from favorite contact lens cases. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn unconventional marketing of a specialty lens practice.

Vision Expo East’s Business and Practice Expertise track is designed to provide attendees with actionable, business-focused content by immersing attendees in five key area: Leadership; Customer Experience; Human Resources; Data; and Profitability and Growth.
