On Tuesday June 25, Dr’s Choice Optical Lab hosted a Grand Opening ceremony at their new facility featuring the latest in optical lens manufacturing technology at 37 Gotha Street in Trenton. The ceremony was attended by local MPP Todd Smith, Mayor Jim Harrison, Quinte West Councillors, Quinte West Chamber of Commerce Quinte Economic Development, and
Trenval along with members of the public. Dr’s Choice Optical Lab is a locally owned business, serving customers in the Quinte Area and across Canada for over 25 years. This Grand Opening represents the culmination of a two-year construction project to expand and grow the business in Quinte West. This new facility makes lenses for glasses and sunglasses with a new robotic assembly line that improves the speed and quality of the products. With support of the Eastern Ontario Development Fund (EODF), this project invests in growing advanced manufacturing in Quinte West, and creating jobs for the community.
