C Berkeley Inducts CooperVision Research Fellow Dr. Arthur Bradley into Optometry Hall of Fame

Honor Recognizes Contributions to Scientific Advances in Myopia Control and Management

The Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry & Vision Science at the University of California, Berkeley, has inducted Arthur Bradley, Ph.D., CooperVision Research Fellow, into its Hall of Fame. Dr. Bradley joins an elite group of 20 other UC Berkley alumni and faculty who received the honor by making significant and exceptional contributions to the optometry field.

 

Dr. Bradley earned his Ph.D. in Vision Science/Physiological Optics from UC Berkley in 1983, then embarked on a career at Indiana University as a vision science professor and researcher. Throughout his tenure, he provided mentorship, guidance, and instruction to thousands of Ph.D., optometry, and undergraduate students in fields including optics, visual neuroscience, binocular vision, and visual function.

 

Since becoming a Research Fellow at CooperVision in 2019, Dr. Bradley and the Research and Development myopia team have gained global recognition for their groundbreaking research on optical interventions aimed at understanding the myopia epidemic. Through his research and publications, particularly in relation to MiSight® 1 day contact lenses, he has helped advance the field of myopia control and management. His work continues to gain widespread recognition, and it is regularly featured at prestigious international conferences.
