Cutting-edge design, bright colors, a distinct aesthetic direction. The new Blackfin One optical collection for Spring-Summer 2023 is an exclusive stylistic expression. For the titanium eyewear brand – produced entirely in-house at its sustainable Black Shelter facility – creativity translates to steadily-increasing conceptual maturity and technical skills. Shapes are more fanciful, paired with bold, unexpected colors, calculated to highlight unique contours.

Common denominator is the material itself – processed in several thicknesses – and highlighted even further by the interplay of colors. As in Waterville, the iconic-shaped front is cut from a single block of milled titanium to yield a 2.5 mm top rim layered over a 2 mm rim. The bi-level design is underscored by the navy blue/orange, army green/cobalt blue and yellow/grey colorways.

Deauville and Auberville express the same stylistic concept, but in two different shapes – the former a classic square, the latter panto-inspired. In both, the bridge and end pieces are in relief and contrast with the rest of the frame in which the new metallic mix-and-match colors appear – like yellow ocher paired with purple, purple with brown, vintage rose with blue, or green on green.

The titanium sheet narrows along the lower part of the rims while the thickness increases along the top rim in the men’s square Dawson, and in Leesburg, a unisex panto. Both styles boast updated color palettes that accentuate the difference between the rim color and that of the bridge and temples.

Lastly, Rye, the ultimate round frame is truly exceptional in lime green, red, cobalt blue or army green.

All of the styles in the Blackfin One line – hypoallergenic, 100% bio-compatible and nickel-free – come with Tilting nosepads in medical-grade PVC and adjustable, ergonomically designed Swordfish temple tips.
