Legendary, French sunglass brand Vuarnet, manufacturer of timeless sunglasses and the finest mineral lenses, is set to open its first ephemeral pop-up shop in Soho for the Holiday season. The Vuarnet pop up shop, located inside Westerlind at 29 Spring Street, opens Friday, November 18 and offers the largest selection of Vuarnet sunglasses stateside.

The shop draws on Vuarnet’s notable ski heritage in its decor to compliment the distinct design of the brand’s eyewear. From snow-topped mountain themed props, to a ski lift framed entryway, the shop showcases Vuarnet’s iconic Legend styles along with their latest lifestyle introductions including Edge, featuring stainless steel and acetate frames, and Swing, the brand’s lightest collection to date, crafted from a single piece of titanium wire.

With a blast to the past, holiday shoppers can purchase the limited edition Glacier 1957 in celebration of Vuarnet’s 60th Anniversary before it becomes available next year for the brand’s anniversary. First becoming popular in the 1970s, the unique, high-tech Glacier is coveted by elite athletes as well as style icons worldwide. Recently, the Glacier was worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in “Spectre” and by Jake Gyllenhaal in “Everest”. Crafted with Vuarnet’s signature mineral lenses combined with protective magnetic, removable, side shields in perforated leather, the limited edition Glacier 1957 is available in Blue, White and Red mirror lenses – a nod to the brand’s French roots.

“It has been an exciting year for Vuarnet from introducing Vincent Cassel as the new face of the brand to the launch of our first fashion collaboration, and now, our very first pop-up shop in the US,” said Lionel Giraud, CEO of Vuarnet. “We are thrilled to bring the entire Vuarnet collection to New York allowing customers to experience the Vuarnet mineral glass lens difference first hand.”
