Vision Expo East is less than two months away, but the eyewear industry is already buzzing about what is in store for the latest
event.
Exhibitors from around the world will have the latest designs, technology and prototypes on display.
The emphasis this year is finding new ways to reach out to clients from providing individualized eyewear products to mobile technology that allows the conversation to continue outside the medical office.
Last year more than 16,000 people attended the event hosted at the Javitz Centre in New York City.
This year is expected to be no exception with countless new ways to interact with attendees and exhibitors.
“We are pleased to report that we broke attendance records dating back to the show’s inception in 1986,” said Tom Loughran, vice president for Reed Exhibitions, which co-owns International Vision Expo East along with The Vision Council. “Overall
feedback indicates that visitors were very satisfied with this year’s show. The new split level floor plan, featuring the French Loft and combined pavilions and education destination on Level 1, exceeded expectations.”
VEE is already in the process of finishing off the development of their 2013 Vision Expo app which allows everyone in attendance to plan their visit and schedule what booths, conferences and workshops they want to participate in.
The My Show Planner also offers additional online tools to provide an enhanced show experience.
You can enter what you want to do online such as search for exhibitors, create a personal agenda or download materials and access them from your iPhone, iPad or other mobile device.
Vision Expo has also ramped up the online experience by adding countless bonuses for both attendees and exhibitors. More exhibitors will be involved this year and there is a strong emphasis on new products. At the show, you can pick up a Show
Specials and New Products catalog at our Customer Care Counters.
Plus, participating exhibitors will be noted in the show directory and have a decal outside of their booth. Show specials include product launches, events, parties, seminars, demonstrations, free gifts, contests and raffles, giveaways and celebrity
appearances.
Once you are finished on the exhibition floor, there are even more exciting events happening around the city featuring your favourite eyewear products.
Dinner parties, galas and exclusive launches will give the night-life an added excitement.
These events will be listed on the VEE website as the event approaches.
