International Vision Expo West announced today that it has partnered with Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the daily media of record and authority of the global fashion, retail and beauty communities, to bring greater exposure to the industry at the upcoming show taking place at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV (Education: Sept. 13– Exhibition: Sept 14-16).
On Thursday, September 14 at 12 pm, WWD Studios Editor Brandy Joy Smith will join Vision Expo in the new Vision Expo Content Studio to moderate a livestreaming panel of top industry CEOs entitled ‘The Eyewear Effect’. The panel will be promoted to over 4 million WWD social media followers and livestreamed on their Facebook page.
Comprised of Mike Hundert, CEO of De Rigo REM, Holly Rush, CEO of Costa Del Mar, and Scott Harris Shapiro, CEO and co-founder of STATE Optical, the panel will share their insights into the development of their business in an ever-shifting market.
“A partnership between the leaders in fashion publishing and fashion eyewear events is a natural fit,” said Mitch Barkley, vice president of trade shows and meetings at The Vision Council. “This program is designed to strengthen Vision Expo’s fashion leadership position, produce valuable content live from the show floor and, most importantly, provide our exhibitors with another outlet for exposure.”
On Friday, September 15 at 12 p.m., WWD will again take to the Show floor with eyewear designers Coco and Breezy for a can’t-miss Facebook Live Q&A session followed by a styling session and meet-and-greet with the designers, sponsored by Transitions Optical.
