Matt Dorling – Director, National Retail and Canada —

Transitions Optical, Inc. has announced Matt Dorling will assume the role of Director, National Retail and Canada, effective immediately. In this position, Dorling will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to ensure the profitable growth with North American national retail partners and lead the vision and strategy to strengthen partnerships, align with key distribution opportunities and build the Transitions® brand in the Canadian market.

Dorling started with Transitions Optical in 1999 as a Trade Developer and was promoted to roles of increasing levels of responsibility from Area Business Manager U.K. to Country Manager U.K. After a short departure, he rejoined Transitions Optical in 2006 as Business Manager, Retail – HAL Group and was subsequently promoted to the role of Country Manager, Nordic / Baltic in 2009. He moved to his current role as Business Director, U.K. & Ireland in October 2009. In this role, he has been responsible for driving business growth through implementing the EMEA strategy and developing action plans to incorporate local requirements.

Catherine Rauscher – Director of Sales
Transitions Optical, Inc. has announced Catherine Rauscher will assume the role of Director of Sales – Lens Manufacturer Channel, North America, effective immediately. In this position, Rauscher will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to ensure the profitable growth with North American lens manufacturer partners, including creating the optimal product, pricing and distribution support plans to achieve growth objectives with these key partners. She will provide leadership for the Transitions Key Account Managers who call on these partners, as well as cultivate relationships with existing and new accounts.

Rauscher joined Transitions Optical in 2004 as Production Engineer, Trans-Bonding™ and then moved to Marketing Specialist for Lens Manufacturers. In 2008, she became Associate Brand Manager and in 2009 moved to the role of Marketing Manager for Sunwear. In 2010, Rauscher was promoted to the role of Key Account Manager for Lens Manufacturers. Most recently, she has held the role of Account Executive, Key Accounts, responsible for leading Transitions Optical’s strategic alliance with Younger and its relationship with VSP.

Prior to joining Transitions Optical, Rauscher was Caustic Logistics Coordinator at PPG’s Chlor/Alkali Facility in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a mechanical engineering concentration from McNeese State University. She also holds a master’s in business administration from the University of Florida.
