Montreal, September 19, 2014 – convertor is the name of the new optical eyewear models from adidas eyewear, offering guaranteed visual appeal. The convertor bladesTM on the temples can be repositioned to suit your mood or the desired effect, with up to four different looks to choose from. After all, who wants to look the same all the time? Made from an extremely light SPX material and each available in seven different colours, these three fullrim models are set to add a fresh and youthful note to specialist optical stores from September 2014.

With its new convertor models, adidas eyewear is picking up on a desire for variety and creative freedom. The convertor bladesTM on the temples feature a discreet single colour on one side, contrasting with a bright and striking shade on the other. They can be rotated on the same temple and clicked into place again or switched to the opposite temple. The convertor bladesTM also have a narrow side and a wide side, opening up a choice of four different looks. Allowing you to quickly and easily adapt your eyewear to your chosen outfit. When it comes to functionality, the eyewear also meets every conceivable need: both the frames and temples of the optical fullrim models are made from extremely light, highly durable and non-allergenic SPX material, to create eyewear that is extremely flexible and at the same time shatterproof. The SPX temples and a Performance SteelTM inlay allow opticians to adapt the temples to suit the shape of the wearer’s head. Adjustable nose pads also ensure a personalised and comfortable fit. The flexible temple ends keep the eyewear perfectly positioned at all times without slipping. The convertor – cutting-edge eyewear technology meets sporty design flair.

The new convertor af39, af40 and af41 models will be available in optical stores in the seven colour combinations of black/black, black/granite, night brown/orange, black/solar blue, dark brown/orange, black/scarlet and dark onix/bahia glow. As with all the other models in the adidas eyewear collection, the new convertor models are designed and manufactured by the renowned eyewear producer Silhouette International in Austria.
