The Vision Council and RX, co-organizers of Vision Expo, today reaffirm their commitment to hosting an in-person Vision Expo West in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo & Convention Center next month. The Show’s educational program, together with OptiCon®@Vision Expo, will open Wednesday, Sept. 22 and exhibits will open Thursday, Sept. 23.

“We are excited to host a vibrant, productive and safe Show in Las Vegas next month,” said Ashley Mills, CEO of The Vision Council, co-organizer of Vision Expo.  “While we are aware there are concerns regarding the evolving state of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are confident we can conduct Vision Expo West safely, as we did in June at Vision Expo East in Orlando, and the Show will move forward as planned.”

Vision Expo’s Show Floor neighborhoods include: The Focus, representing the foundation of eyecare and bringing together lens and coating technology, lens processing techniques, disease management solutions, contact lens innovations and eyecare practice optimization; The Park, highlighting industry icons, ubiquitous brands and prestigious collections; and The Union, an energetic showcase featuring the newest in independent design and pop-culture .

The Suites will also return to Las Vegas, offering attendees access to the most established luxury fashion houses and the latest exclusive upmarket boutiques in an intimate and unparalleled buying experience across the Venetian and Palazzo Hotels. Attendees are invited to experience an eclectic group of distinctive brands ranging from elegant fashion to exclusive, emerging boutique collections.

Programming and Events

Vision Expo West will offer a robust schedule of special events and programming, providing ample opportunities for attendees and exhibitors to network and socialize on and off the Show Floor.

The Seen, a new main stage destination at Vision Expo West, is designed to serve as the Show’s central hub for collaborative learning and networking. The Seen will feature a robust schedule of panels and presentations, including the EYE2EYE Series, an educational series of interactive panels featuring industry experts in discussion on topics ranging from fashion trend forecasts and how to develop a more inclusive workplace to tactics for refining patient care.

The Seen will also house the Innovation Stage, the Show Floor destination dedicated to groundbreaking content and state-of-the-art products and services revolutionizing the industry. Additionally, the OPTImum Lounge, dedicated to key decision-makers, buyers, ophthalmic professionals, lab owners, directors and top-level management, will be located in The Seen. On Saturday, September 25, The Seen will host the Career Zone-Student Lounge, a destination for students to connect with optical companies that are actively recruiting and explore career resources.

Education

Presented under the banner of VisionEd, Vision Expo’s education program will include more than 140 sessions and more than 200 hours of seminars, workshops and interactive presentations led by renowned experts in clinical research, business, fashion and marketing.

Key content areas include: glaucoma, posterior segment/retina, anterior segment/dry eye, surgical/co-management, and systemic disease and diabetes.
