Match Eyewear purchased Optiq Frames Ltd, based in Toronto Canada is expanding their international distribution. Optiq Frames distributes a portfolio of licensed and proprietary brands throughout Canada with a direct sales force. Under the leadership of Joe Nadler, Optiq Frames has established strong customer relationships in various channels of trade for 42 years. Match Eyewear will maintain and build upon the majority of the Optiq Frames’ collections. There will be a continued focus on high quality standards, trend-setting designs and merchandising support for each brand.
Optiq Frames’ management will report directly to Ethan Goodman and Phil Turnage of Match Eyewear. Building on the experience and reputation of the successful Optiq Frames’ sales force and keeping with their philosophy to “give customers the best product at the best price”, remains a priority of the acquisition.
Match Eyewear plans to introduce Optiq Frames’ brands into the US to expand its domestic market share. According to Match Eyewear’s CEO, Jonathan Pratt, “The Optiq Frames division of Match Eyewear represents immediate presence throughout Canada. We are excited about the opportunity to build on Optiq’s historical success with our expanded brand offering in North America. The Canada customer base will immediately benefit from Match’s resources in product development and marketing to bolster the Optiq collections. We intend to maintain the existing distribution facility in Toronto to continue providing that same level of customer service. “
