This past November I was given the privilege of joining Canadian Vision Care on their latest trip to Jamaica. In the heart of Montego Bay, I discovered just how giving this industry can be, as a group of volunteers checked the eyes of nearly 1,000 people over the span of a few days.
Any glasses that were prescribed were donated by industry companies. From the lenses and frames to the equipment and supplies, the eyewear industry has been working together quietly to ensure that people without access to care are able to see.
