Optika Eyewear,Canada’s leader in high fashion eyewear collections is seeking a full time Sales representative for the Montreal/Laval Territory.
Optika Eyewear has been servicing the Canadian Optical Market for over 20 years, distributing eyewear and sunglasses to independent retailers across Canada. We have developed strong brand name recognition in the industry for providing excellent product and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Shows samples, catalogs, and illustrations of the company's product lines
- Develop and maintaining strong relationships with key retailers and valued clients
- Strategizes with the team on prospects, strategic accounts and areas for development
- Scheduling seasonal product showings and meeting pre-book deadlines
- Understanding market trends, sell-thru data, sales forecasts, etc.
- Maintain the business, continue to grow the business, and foster relationships
Skills and Competencies:
- Prior Experience in optical, retail and/or fashion industry preferred.
- Must be bilingual in English and French.
- Microsoft Office experience – ability to read and analyze a spreadsheet
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, detail orientation, above average follow-through;
- Strong team player and able to communicate effectively
- Positive and Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with a high attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and ability to work independently;
- A discerning taste and solid interest in eyewear/fashion
- Strong Entrepreneurial spirit and a gift for persuasion & negotiation skills.
