Stuart Weitzman announces Issa Rae as its global ambassador for the Spring 2025 Campaign. The campaign takes us behind the scenes of her life as the Modern Mogul, wittily showcasing how she can and will do it all — but on her own time and her own terms, and while wearing Stuart Weitzman’s Spring 2025 Collection, of course. It also marks the launch of the global luxury footwear brand’s first-ever Sunglasses Collection. With this expansion, the brand further reinforces its commitment to accessorizing multifaceted, multihyphenate women to inspire them with confidence for all their everyday moments.

The campaign’s striking imagery is inspired by Rae’s own creative process to capture an I’m-offline-don’t-bother-me-because-I-control-my-own-destiny energy. Lensed by fashion photographer Philip-Daniel Ducasse, the images feature her lounging by the pool, taking calls in the hot tub, reviewing scripts solo and prioritizing herself above all to achieve her best work. The accompanying short film, “Been ‘Writing’ All Month” brings these scenes to life, while also highlighting her signature humorous, playful and unapologetic personality.
Rae introduces a selection of silhouettes from the Spring 2025 Collection, including:
- The NUDIST BLOCK 75: The brand’s iconic two-strap NUDIST sandal featuring a 75-mm block heel.
- The GEORGIE 100: A strappy sandal with angular buckles and a 100-mm sculptural stiletto heel.
- The STUART POWER SLINGBACK: A pointed-toe slingback pump with a 75-mm stiletto heel.
- The THEA LOAFER: An artful take on the classic penny loafer crafted from luxurious woven leather.
In addition, she wears several pieces from the brand’s debut Sunglasses Collection, created in partnership with Safilo Group, including:
- The Two-Tone Oversized Square Sunglasses: Oversized square acetate sunglasses in a two-tone design inspired by the brand’s iconic mixed-material 5050 boot.
- The Two-Tone Rectangular Sunglasses: Rectangular acetate sunglasses in a two-tone design inspired by the 5050 boot.
- The Metal Butterfly Sunglasses: Lightweight metal butterfly sunglasses with crystal and pearl embellishments.
- She also wears a new piece from the Optical Collection: The Two-Tone Cat-Eye Glasses: Cat-eye optical glasses in a two-tone design inspired by the 5050 boot with metallic hardware accents.
The campaign also features the work of Rae’s go-to glam squad, including stylist Wouri Vice, hairstylist Felicia Leatherwood, and makeup artist Sheika Daley
Rae was first named a Stuart Weitzman Global Ambassador in Fall 2024, when she starred in the brand’s “How Lovely to Be a Woman” campaign, a celebration of women who stand strong through all of life’s pleasures and pressures and continue to push themselves forward. Rae was also the face of Stuart Weitzman’s optical eyewear launch the same season.
The brand’s Spring 2025 Collection and debut Sunglasses Collection are available in Stuart Weitzman boutiques, on stuartweitzman.com and in select retailers. The Stuart Weitzman Sunglasses and Optical Eyewear Collection is also available at select opticians and retailers, including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
