Essilor appoints Jean Carrier Chief Operating Officer Alongside Paul du Saillant and Laurent Vacherot

Essilor today announces the appointment of Jean Carrier as Chief Operating Officer alongside Paul du Saillant and Laurent Vacherot, effective September, 1, 2014. This decision reflects the Group’s intention to adapt its organization and structure to its development ambitions and growth.

In his new role, Jean carrier will continue to oversee Essilor of America and will also be responsible for research and Development, Intellectual property, Strategic marketing and for the Group’s E-business activity.
Jean Carrier joined Essilor 25 years ago. He worked in the United States, in Switzerland and in France as head of logistics, head of marketing and managing director. Since January 2007, he is president and CO of Essilor America.
