After a four-month pause in our publication schedule, Optical Prism is back with this September issue.
The coronavirus has profoundly impacted our personal and business lives. Optical Prism is no exception.
Robert May, Publisher, and Mary Lu May, Associate Publisher, of Optical Prism and Eye Focus magazines have made a big decision: we are retiring.
Optical Prism has been published in Canada for over 38 years and we have been publishers for in excess of 20 years. The years have flown by and, like all businesses, we have weathered the good times and the bad times.
We would like to thank readers and advertisers alike for making these years so interesting and rewarding for us. You have allowed us to participate in the exciting Canadian optical marketplace. The optical industry has definitely changed in these past 20 years and we’ve been lucky enough to have had a front-row seat from which we’ve been able to watch the growth.
We will always be watching the industry from afar and we wish an exciting future to all concerned. Good luck and may you all grow and prosper.
As we say goodbye and thank you, our retirement does not mean the end of Optical Prism.
We are pleased to announce the sale of Optical Prism to Quince Communications, which will be headed by Suzanne Lacorte who will be the new publisher.
The team at Quince will include our existing managing editor Denis Langlois and assistant editor David Goldberg, so there will be seamless continuation of our editorial excellence.
Working as an art director for over 20 years with brands such as Elle Canada, Canadian Living and Style at Home, Suzanne can honestly say she loves what she does.
At a young age, Suzanne realized she had a passion for the creative side of the business and decided to move into graphic design.
Suzanne now has her own freelance company, which has included working as the art director of Optical Prism for the past year and a half.
