Canadian eyewear company, Claudia Alan Inc, is proud to expand its AYA Optical Collection with the introduction of five new vintage style frames. The new line includes two limited editions, Sitka and Langham, featuring natural buffalo horn and bamboo materials and sophisticated retro styling. AYA Optical frames retail for $129 to $329 and are available online and through fine opticians across North America. The entire AYA Optical Collection is unisex and features the latest artwork by renowned First Nations artist, Corrine Hunt.
“Our mandate at Claudia Alan has always been to make beautiful products that make a difference,” said Claudia Alan Inc, president, Carla D’Angelo. “This season it was such a pleasure to create two luxurious limited edition optical frames that are sourced from sustainable and strong bamboo, as well as ethically sourced buffalo horn, which is extraordinarily light-weight, allergen-free and very comfortable to wear.”
Sitka is a handcrafted frame featuring a keyhole bridge, and rounded silhouette. Two colour-ways exist: either a dark or light buffalo horn front, combined with light bamboo temples featuring beautiful raven artwork etchings. The Langham style also combines buffalo horn, bamboo, and raven artwork; it is also available with either a light or dark face. In traditional Chinese medicine, horn balances Yin and Yang which makes it a great choice for AYA’s unisex styles. Sitka and Langham frames both retail for $329.
In addition to the two limited edition styles, AYA introduced three other retro-inspired frames this season, Bailey, Alix and Ainsley. These unisex styles retail for $169 each. These frames are made of exceptional zyl materials in wearable neutral colors such as brown, black and red. The entire AYA Optical Line has been manufactured to meet both North American and European optical standards. Frame sizing and fit have been developed for maximum comfort and to accommodate a variety of prescription lenses.
