100% Optical 2014, the first international annual optical event to be held at ExCeL London in February, 16 – 18, 2014, has been singled out by a whole spectrum of leading industry sector companies to unveil and profile their latest product ranges and services.

100% Optical is hosting more UK and international eyewear brands than any other UK show. Not only will event visitors see the latest 2014 collections first at 100% Optical, they will have the opportunity to evaluate and get to grips with the latest launches and the most innovative and cutting-edge technology and products on the international optical market.

Leading producer of cutting-edge diagnostic technology ZEISS (Stand M110 www.meditec.zeiss.com) will be presenting its CIRRUS Family range, the latest in high definition spectral domain OCT technology. The company’s comprehensive options include a combined OCT and Fundus or standalone OCT camera and FORUM® Glaucoma Workplace, a ground breaking solution that delivers advanced Glaucoma management and patient care. ZEISS is also taking part in the daily 100% Optical OCT workshops in which delegates will have the chance to participate in the interactive case study interpretation sessions and gain hands-on experience with a ZEISS CIRRUS HD-OCT.

Leading eyewear brand Marchon (Stand E240 www.marchon.com) will unveil new spring/summer collections for the first time at 100% Optical this February. Around 20 brands are expected to unveil their designs including Calvin Klein, Chloé, Karl Lagerfield, Nike and Valentino. Visitors to 100% Optical will be among the first to see the new collections.

Style leading brand Cutler and Gross’(Stand E200 www.cutlerandgross.com) spring/summer 2014 collection celebrates ‘The English Garden Party’, inspired by British countryside pursuits and the warm natural hues of berries, dried flowers and feathers. The collection debuts brand new shapes that draw on glamorous femininity in contrast to Cutler and Gross’ relaxed, effortless gentleman’s frames. This season is one for those who enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors and pure style.

Exhibiting for the first time in the UK at 100% Optical LINDBERG (Stand E340 www.lindberg.com), renowned for its tasteful finesse and elegant expressiveness, will premier a remarkable new temple design that seems to alter appearance as the wearer’s head changes position. The new temples on the LINDBERG n.o.w. design feature a delicately curving titanium plate turned on its side so that it’s wider than high.

Balancing classic and clean with bold and bright to continuously keep classic eyewear designs updated Pro Design (Stand E360 www.prodesigndenmark.com) will showcase a series of frames, designed in co-operation with Danish jeweler Anette Wille, and a beautiful very classic, Aluminium collection – with all shapes suitable for progressive lenses.

Luxury eyewear label RockOptika (Stand E303 www.rockoptika.co.uk) will launch its highly anticipated 3rd collection at 100% Optical. Unique styling and handmade finish has propelled this independent British brand to cult status. Visitors will be treated to their latest collection for spring/summer 2014 inspired by the trends and styles of the great record labels of all time.

Screwless sheet-metal glass designer ic! berlin (Stand E228 www.ic-berlin.de) will be presenting its ‘electric! Collection’ range of multi-coloured frames in a revolutionary new electric colour coating. ic! Berlin’s electric! innovation department has developed this new coating technique that enables metal to be coated in nearly all the colours of the known spectrum. Just like a rainbow.

Wooden glasses industry leader Waiting for the Sun (Stand E308 www.waitingforthesun.fr)
will introduce two new lines: Slash and BOIS2. A result of 4 years hard work in their French workshops the innovative BOIS2 material is a combination of recycled wood and bio acetate which is completely recyclable. The entire BOIS2 range is handmade and carefully produced in France, in a small number of local workshops, reducing their ecological footprint. Above all the material has all the mechanical properties of a standard plastic and is as comfy and dermatological as their wood range.

Frost ‘s (Stand E227 www.pm-frost.de) new collection for 2014 is full of variety and contrasts incorporating a new surface coating offering magnificent colour effects. 100% Optical visitors will be treated to ranges containing asymmetrical shapes to classic-elegant designs; in gaudy colors or soft pastel shades to harmonious gradients or multi coloured variations.

Noisy, coloured, young and concentrated, FUNK International (Stand D13 www.funk-eyewear.com) range is likened by the company to a girlfriend, who entertains everybody with her loud laughter and spreads a good temper. Their new FUNK Food models which will be on show are named after international dishes, from Kimchi to Pommes Schranke. Colours, shapes and material combinations mark out the designs.

Over the years the Swing collection, has become an unmistakable VANNI (www.vanniocchiali.com) emblem with its evergreen shapes. In 2014 a constructional revival of some vintage eyewear favourites has been given new life thanks to technology. VANNI is now revisiting the memorable combi-metal glasses with their coloured brow line by applying bright thick lacquer to the upper profile.
